Ally has struggled with anxiety and depression since her sophomore year of high school in 2015. Due to wide-range support from family and friends, she has learned that openly talking about and embracing her mental illness is the best way to remove the stigma. After a lesson on the biochemistry of anxiety hit extremely close to home, Ally realized she had a connection with her then-teacher, Christine. The two became both emotional supports and exercise partners, and in 2017, they combined their passions of physical and mental health by co-founding Running From Anxiety. Her passion for mental health has led her to work in the Harvard Psychology Clinical Research Lab and to perform with the de-stigmatizing organization This Is My Brave. Between studying as a college student, training for road races, and battling her inner struggles, Ally lives by the words "Think. Run. Fight."
